A "dungeon battler"
Glass Cannon Unplugged calls it a dungeon battler: you fight through hordes of monsters like a dungeon crawler but move fast toward a boss showdown like a boss battler. It adds deck building, dice rolling, loot and character progression. The designers previously made Dying Light: The Board Game.
